In 2020, Rob combined his decades of executive leadership experience with his love of fitness and created SMRTFT, the source for the most innovative fitness products. He started the company with the world's smartest adjustable dumbbells. The dumbbells quickly became the MVP of the company, winning the 2022 and 2021 Men's Health awards for best adjustment dumbbells. Then, Rob rapidly grew the company to include the best breathable face masks, athletic socks, and towels. Most recently, Rob added the new SMRTPAC, a collection of trail to urban backpacks, to the SMRTFT line.Before SMRTFT, Rob spent decades in the hospitality industry, most recently as Managing Partner of TAO Group Hospitality. TAO operates more than 60 entertainment dining and nightlife venues in over 20 markets across five continents. It features a collection of widely recognized hospitality brands.A seasoned hospitality executive with over 30 years of industry experience. In his role as Vice President and Managing Partner for TAO Group Hospitality Rob focused on operational excellence, profitability and the continued development of the leadership team. VP and Managing Partner, is the gatekeeper of the Internal and External Guest Experience as well as the company profitability. Is responsible for adherence to all standards and serves as the facilitator for the TAO Group culture. Prior to joining the TAO Group, was a Director of Operations for Culinary Concepts by Jean-Georges. Responsible for over a dozen openings around the world as well as the subsequent oversight of operations and profitability within the different deal structures.
