As the Director of Software Engineering for VALORANT, I was accountable for everything from the features players love to the release and infrastructure that enable every player everywhere to have the same great experience in our genre-defining, competitive gameplay.As a VALORANT core leadership team member, I partnered with the Executive Producer and other cross-discipline leaders to set VALORANT's multi-year roadmap and direction.I rebuilt the recruiting pipeline, interview process, and interviewer training allowing me to hire and scale from 30 to a high-performing, diverse, inclusive engineering team of nearly 100 in 2 years. I rolled out technical interview kits, process improvements, and D&I initiatives to all of Riot. Mentored & coached several principal-level engineers and senior managers.Designed and reorganized the engineering team to meet VALORANT's strategic objectives, including the shifts from development to launch, through our rapid scale, launch in China, our expansion to console, and support multiple titles in the VALORANT ecosystem.

Formed and led a group of technological leaders on central teams, Legends of Runeterra and League of Legends, to build and execute a shared roadmap to launch Riot's second and third games quickly, efficiently, and at high quality.Wrote first fundamental services, designed and drove adoption of VALORANT's service framework, hosting technology, and shared services from early pre-production to tens of millions of VALORANT players and across Riot.Rebuilt core gameplay team to deliver industry-leading movement, shooting, and gameplay systems at both high quality and increased content velocity.
