Co-Founder / Chairman Of Board

Tampa FCC Football & Cheer Little League ConferenceMarcus (a contestant on the "Business Starter" reality TV show) called six months after the show. He wanted to effect change for kids growing up in Tampa Park and Sulfer Springs (two highly disadvantaged areas) in downtown Tampa. Twelve year old boys were selling drugs on the street corners. We worked with Alvin Holder at Tampa Parks and Recreation and Rick Peacock (regional director) at USA Football to open a new little league conference in the two most economically depressed areas of Tampa. It was at practice one day for the Titans in Tampa Park that provided the impetus for HRW Music Group.

Executive Producer / Host

"Business Starter" Reality Tv Show (On Tbcn.Org)

Over 65% of ex-felons return to prison during the first 3 years after their release during periods of unemployment. But, ex-felons are faced with enormous barriers for employment. If they can open a successful business they can effectively be re-inserted into society. Thus was born, "Business Starter." It was a live 30 minute reality TV show (6 episodes aired in SW Florida on Tampa Bay Community Network), where six ex-felons (incarcerated on drug distribution charges) and 4 ladies that had endured teen pregnancy or other hardship attempted to open a business for $50 each. __ 7 business were opened __ the three that failed to get a business opened; two returned to prison, the third's whereabouts is unknown. __ Success Stories: Reggie Johnson (PictureMeRollin photography), Marcus Brown (co-founder / TampaFCC little league conference), Demetria George (TV producer / Tampa's Next Best Model), Jessica Toran (model / actress), DaLonde' Clark (makeup line). . . . in case you're wondering. No, the CEO of HRW Music Group is not an ex-fellon, he is just helping ex-felons build business. In fact, he holds a Level II FBI background clearance as sponsored by the Children's Home Society of Florida.

Owner

Roemorgan Properties

Wow, I open a real estate investment business with hopes as big as you can stretch your arms out to either side of you and end up losing it all in the real estate collapse a few years ago; lose my house, my cars . . . everything. __ So, now you start over again from zero.

2004 - 2010 ~6 yrs

Owner

Rob Roe Consulting / Seminars

Author and motivational speaker for sales production enhancement seminars in the hotel industry. __ The sales techniques I re-sized for selling room reservations were derived from techniques I learned while selling cars three different times in-between jobs or projects and were formalized in a yet to be published book, "Carguys Walking on Water."__ I am currently (actually, for the last 10 years) working on a new book that develops an alternative solution for goal setting for un-disciplined people called, "Left for Naked."

1999 - 2004 ~5 yrs

Chief Operating Officer

Hearth Home Extended Stay Hotels

Involved in the construction oversight from pad selection to receiving a 'Certificate of Occupancy' for several newly built extended stay hotels in Texas. Hired, trained and managed all GM’s and was responsible for all day-to-day operations, as well as occupancy levels and profitability. __ My biggest accomplishment was to run our 5 hotels at 100% occupancy during the Thanksgiving holiday, traditionally a low occupancy period.

Jan 1998 - Jan 1999

National Sales Manager

Firstplus Financial, Inc

FirstPlus was a call-center based, 2nd residential mortgage loan origination financial company using Dan Marino and my daughter, Morgan-English in TV commercials to drive in-bound calls. I entered the company as an entry-level loan officer fielding in-bound calls. __ The company record for most loans closed in one month stood at 72. My first month on the phones I crush the record with 112.__ I rocketed from loan officer, to production manager, to national sales trainer, to national sales manager over 1,200 loan officers and 50 nationwide branch offices in a short 13 months. It was cool. __ The company filed for bankruptcy soon after because of incorrectly reporting of earnings resulting in the loss of all wall street investors.

Jan 1997 - Jan 1998

Management Consultant

Park Ridge, Illinois, Us

The company was founded in 1925 making it one of the oldest management consulting firms in the US. My job was to traverse the country, two businesses per week and sell them business management system packages. I focused on small and mid-cap businesses in a wide array of industries. __ The high point of this sales position was when the engine on my airplane caught on fire on the tarmac in Dallas and the CEO had me flown to corporate in Chicago to speak with him. He said, "Rob, you remind me of me when I was your age." This job just was not my thing and I resigned a week later.

Feb 1996 - Jan 1997

Founder / Ceo

Mtc National Mortgage

The real estate business was beginning to show signs of recovery in Texas after the near collapse in the late 1980's. I opened a startup mortgage brokerage company in Dallas. The company orginated, funded and closing primarily minority, first- time home buyer residential home loans. __ We negotiated partnerships with over 25 mortgage funding wholesalers nationwide. In the mid 1990's there was significant concern by the regulatory authorities over the practice of 'Red Lining' in the Dallas metro market by the major lenders. __ I sold the company to Chase Manhattan Bank in 1996 who had been cited for 'red lining' practices. My companies focus of minority loan origination was a perfect fit for Chase and solved their problem.

Jul 1993 - Jan 1996

Co-Founder

Manufactures Team Capital

The RTC (Resolution Trust Corporation) was swamped with non-performing commercial assets that needed to be liquidated. I opened a small startup company that provided due diligence on large commercial assets (hotels, office buildings, etc.) until the assets were all liquidated over a three year period. __ I closed the company to open a mortgage company in Dallas, Texas.

1992 - 1995 ~3 yrs

Asset Securitization Manager

Resolution Trust Corporation (Federal Government)

The RTC was opened by Congressional order mandated with the task of disposing of billions of dollars of assets previously held by the the FSLIC (see below). __ I developed, co-managed and sold the world’s largest Commercial Mortgage Backed Security (C-4; with over $1 Billion in underlying assets) that was underwritten by Goldman Sacks and Salomon Brothers with pricing of 40 bps over the 3 year T's, that's very good by the way.__ Co-manager the fist ever securitization of non-performing assets in the history of the financial industry; N1 - Series. Goldman Sacks birthed this idea and we ended up selling 3 series issues.

Jan 1991 - Jan 1992

Special Assistant To Director

Federal Savings And Loan Insurance Corporation (Fslic) And Federal Deposit Insurance Corp

After the completion of the Southwest Plan (see below) and the insolvency of the insurance fund the US Congress ordered the closing of the FSLIC. All the insolvent bank conservatorships and asses were to be transferred to the RTC and the FSLIC. __ I oversaw the transition of FSLIC merger into the FDIC and RTC.__ Became the Special Assistant to the Director of the FDIC.

Jan 1990 - Jan 1991

Deputy Director: Southwest Plan Division

Federal Savings & Loan Insurance Corporation

The Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Company is a government agency that reports to congress and is responsible for providing deposit insurance for savings banks. During the late 1980's there was a banking crisis that resulted in the failure of over 80 savings and loans in Texas. Under the Southwest Plan initiative these associations were put into government conservatorship and grouped into mega banks and offered for sale to large investors. As a deputy director at the FSLIC my main responsibility was to negotiate the sales of these mega banks to large primarily wall street investors. Within 8 months we sold 87 insolvent banks and committed the US taxpayers to a bailout bill of $64 Billion. Given that the insurance fund was insolvent we opted for this solution versus liquidating the state of Texas and causing a nationwide run on banks, per a phone call from the Whitehouse not approved by the US Congress. __ For the next 10 years I testified in frony of the US Senate banking and judiciary committees__ Gave endless depositions concerning the underlying sales contracts__ Was investigated by US Treasury department; found of no wrongdoing__ Was part of a government sponsored investigation costing $6 million; was exonerated for no wrong doing.__ So yes, I helped save the US banking industry.
