Director of all marketing and advertising for long-standing 15 location restaurant chain with $20 million in annual sales and nearly 500 employees. Among my first initiatives was a social media marketing program which resulted in an immediate 5% increase in revenues. I managed all interactions between Company and its customers. I also consolidated, reorganized and operated the Catering Department turning what had been a quiet corner of the Company into a revenue source on par with many of its physical locations. I managed all public relations and social media promotional efforts. I also worked directly with the CEO to assist in managing IT and executive operations.In late 2012 I decided to originate and organize an effort to buy the Company, I secured equity and debt sufficient to approach lender and business owner to negotiate purchase of theCompany. This process ended with the sale of the Company to a third party.

I owned and operated all aspects of this multi-million dollar, internationally renowned luxury home textiles retailer. During this period I supervised a staff numbering up to 10 employees. I handled all aspects of operations, from sales, buying and merchandising to advertising, IT, marketing and accounting.Recognized repeatedly by trade associations for operating the finest retail operation of our type in the United States. My business, Arrelle was named "Retailer of the Year" by the Home Fashions Products Association in 1998 at a banquet held at the Plaza Hotel in New York along with Martha Stewart for K-Mart, Eddie Bauer and Pottery Barn.Our customers included numerous members of the Pritzker family, the Crown family, the Duchossois family, the Harris family, the Wanger family, Marlo Thomas, Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama and too many others to name.

I purchased largest minority share (46%) of a close-out merchandise wholesale business. Using private sources, I raised $2 million and moved the business into the new area of television home shopping. I negotiated a joint venture with Robert Johnson at Black Entertainment Television, contracts with video productions facilities, telephone and warehouse fulfillment facilities. Within six months of the purchase of my share of the company, private placement of the investment was successfully concluded and production of two separate television shopping shows was ongoing. We were responsible for the production of approximately 8 hours of television programming per day, I coordinated transmission of all production information among our television studios, call center in Phoenix, Arizona and the warehouse fulfillment facility in Akron, Ohio.I negotiated a joint venture with Close Out Merchandise Buyers (C.O.M.B.) of Minneapolis, Minnesota and TCI of Denver, Colorado. In the course of this venture I supervised anywhere between 25 and 150 employees directly.Unfortunately, the joint-venture fell through and our company was liquidated in the fall of 1988.
