Semi-retired electrical engineer currently traveling the planet. Electrical Engineer experienced with the entire lifecycle of Anti-Tamper and Cybersecurity Systems Engineering.I have both a bachelors and masters degree in engineering and got my gears going via an engagement at General Electric and Bell Laboratories in the areas of Satellite Communications and Digital Signal Processing. In the area of DSP I was instrumental in encoding CELP on fixed-point AT&T 16As/1610s and providing the code for QCIF/CIFs views from a Definity switch. I switched my gears to networking in the late 1990s and created a small firm called KemNet Tech where I produced the nationally known African-American oriented cyber destination BlackWebPortal.com. and developed partnerships with companies such as BlackAmericaWeb.com, HCBUconnect.com, and BlackVoices.com. The BWP peaked at 750,000 users in the 2007 but did not secure Series A funding for growth and expansion.

From 2004 to 2011 led efforts or participated on technical teams as a lead or role player. In 2004 I was the Chief Engineer in charge of retooling LM's custom and siloed help desk into a Service Desk implementation. My next effort in 2005 was that of modeling solutions, generating requirements, and designing tools to be implemented on a BlackBerry and BES infrastructure. In 2006 I was the architect responsible for the development and eventual deployment of an enterprise WIFI solution. In 2007 I joined the ongoing project ESOA (Enterprise Service Oriented Architecture) as an PM/architect to rewrite the Concept of Operations, revive and confirm stakeholder requirements, and design the Virus Scanning of SOAP message solution (a first) over the internal LM VPN. Based on the success of my efforts on the ESOA team I was included as part of the team putting together a detailed design of the TSA-IHOP based on previously issued ConOps and Requirements. On the IHOP team I confirmed all of the network diagrams, interfaces, and apps that were to be part of the solution. In addition, on IHOP I began working with the FEAF where I was responsible for the TRM and SRM components of the model. I continued my EA growth as architect on the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) project (using DODAF) and later in 2009 as a EA on the Air Force District Washington (AFDW) effort. In 2010 I was picked by leadership as the IPT lead that would develop a VDI solution for LM. This quick efforts was valuable in allowing LM to develop a mix of VMware and Citrix solutions. Next, I was the ontological modeler for the SOS effort and after that I designed a SSO (SAML2) solution for LMcommit. My last effort was as the IPT Lead of LMIMCO, the investment arm of LM. I developed a redundant network that could run Bloomberg services since LM does not allow custom UDP over its network.
From 1997 to 2004 I was truly a pioneering Web Developer. From 1997 to 1998 I moved away from a pure Electrical Engineer into an IT expert. Without any IT background at the time I self studied and installed CSU/DSUs, Routers, and Switches at my downtown, Eatontown, NJ office. Our specialty during this period was in the selling and servicing of PCs and peer to peer networks to housing authorities, Boys and Girls Clubs, regular buyers of custom PCs. The highlight of this phase was the development of the Bruce Springsteen Computing Center in Asbury Park, NJ. In the late part of 1998 and 1999 I doubled as a web development consultant and founder of the BlackWebPortal.com that attracted more than 750,000 viewers per month at its peak in 2007. At that point in time I had interviews from area newspapers and a 1.5 pages of photo coverage in the November 2000 issue of Black Enterprise magazine. With partnerships with Tom Joyner's BlackAmericaWeb and multiple meetings with Series B funders we were set to go, but fell short of acquiring the needed funds to generate a successful revenue stream. Ah, so close, so close. In addition during that period, I had the pleasure of working for many great companies which of course I would be happy to discuss with you detail if we happen to meet. The bottom line is that I acclimate to new technologies very quickly.
