I worked on e2e testing and data quality at a major commercial insurance marketplace at Bold Penguin. There have also been many, many smaller products for happy clients, as well as lots of OSS and side projects.Specialties: Ruby, Rails, TDD, PostgreSQL, design patterns, XP, bash & shell scripting. I love to pair program, whether in person or virtually, and enjoy mentoring less experienced developers and helping everyone on the team to work better together. Extensive experience in overhauling and upgrading legacy applications, as well as automating all-the-things to improve developer happiness. I've written Javascript dating back when the only framework choice was Prototype vs Scriptaculous and ajax was the hot new thing, and now have done enough React and webpack to yearn for the good ole days. =) In a previous life I wrote Java and learned enough PHP to wrangle a crazy multi-tenant Wordpress app.
