Urban Life is a network of people exploring new approaches to mission and Christian presence in deprived and marginalized urban neighborhoods in the UK.In this role, I:- Created online databases of resources including research, articles, statistics, books to support the ongoing learning of people in leadership positions;- Conducted interviews with experts and authors who wrote extensively on urban issues;- Overhauled and streamlined the website structure and content to make it more user friendly;- Utilized social media platforms to generate discussion on issues related to urban development;Successfully garnered new interest for new MA programs using social media.

INCARNATE NETWORK is a grassroots network of Jesus followers, who live and work at the margins, where we seek to embody the Good News in innovative and creative ways. As an organization, it seeks to provide an inclusive space for those who often find themselves on the edge of existing structures and regularly under the radar. Whether it be artist, activist, pioneer, prophet or poet, we welcome all and create space to share stories, play with new ideas, learn from one another and offer solidarity, as we seek to follow Jesus and experiment with what it means to live out the Gospel in new and challenging contexts.The network facilitate retreats, lead workshops, offer one-on-one consultancy and host an annual Houseparty, which has become the main gathering point for members of the network.As a director, I was part of steering group of charity which organised events and training to encourage, mentor as well as offer solidarity with pioneers who are exploring and pioneering new forms of church.- Oversaw a network of over 450 practioners engaged in creative missions across the U.K;- Helped organize and facilitate weekend learning enviornments on topics such as contextual missions, charity and solidarity, and entreprenureal missions;- Co-organized and initiated an annual retreat specfically geared towards pioneers;- Provided consultancy services for churches, organizations and practitioners who wanted help in engaging in missions in their context on topics such as engaging with the homeless and gentrification as well as helping church leaders work through conflict with other leaders and churches.

Urban Expression is an urban mission agency that recruits, equips, deploys and networks self-financing teams pioneering creative and relevant expressions of the Christian Church in under-churched areas of the inner city.- In this role, I lived missionally among the activist community of East London, regularly providing pastoral care, a listening ear and identifying where God was at work;- Regularly engaged in community issues such as affordable housing and gentrification;- Shared my faith in a contextualized manner, relevant to the activist community;-I helped start a community centre with activists, serving the local community. The community centre quickly became a meeting space for people from a wide range of economic and ethnic backgrounds sharing their ideas, skills and possessions with their neighbors.

After helping Glorious Undead Church find its feet and while studying for my degree in Theology, I helped start The Bridge Collective Church in East London in the U.K. This church was started due to encountering an increasing amount of young people who were disillusioned with the church and needed a space to ask questions and explore their faith in a creative manner.- Co-organized events such as an Art Exhibition and performances, including volunteer management, publicity and contributor liaison;- Coordinated outreach programs including a monthly homeless outreach;- Developed and implemented policies;- Developed and led internship program, mentoring potential leaders;- Created and maintained organization publicity through social media, fliers, posters and website;- Produced weekly podcasts.

After working with Glorious Undead, I spent a few months working with New York City Relief, an organization that has several mobile soup kitchens which reguarly visits different neighborhoods in New York City, offering hot food and drink, advice as well as helping clients to connect with services such as shelter and rehabilitation.- Giving guidance to the homeless/working poor/addicts;- Helping the vulnerable receive services they might need such as housing, food medical attention and rehab for drugs and alcohol;- Partnering with other organizations;- Database population;- Problem solving, trouble-shooting and conflict resolution;- Filing daily reports;- Facility maitnence;- Volunteer coordination, briefing and debriefing.

In 2002, a group of us from Asylum Church went on to start a similar church geared towards those involved in the subcultures in Camden Town in North London in the U.K. In this role, I was responsible for preaching, teaching as well as coordinating leaders.- Provided direction, strategic planning and vision for the organization;- Provided background and administrative support for team members in organization;- Assisted with conflict resolution and mediation;- Spearheaded and organized events such as an annual music festival which attracted several hundred people from across Europe;- Regularly provided teaching, hospitality and pastoral care for members of the community;- Monitored finances and financial records, serving as bookkeeper, filing charity financial reports.

Asylum Church was a church community that was geared towards those in the subcultures in Soho in Central London in the U.K. In this role, I helped start the church along with other members of the church and worked in various capacities including outreach, financial director and pastoral assistant. - Assisted with leading services and meetings;- Monitored finances and financial records, serving as bookkeeper, filing charity financial reports;- Assisted with conflicts resolutions and mediation;- Provided background and administrative support for team members in organization.
