Austin Benn were one of the UK’s first specialist sales recruiters. I progressed from Consultant to Team Leader (Technical) to Branch Manager. In 2005 I was made Marketing and Sales Director and was responsible for brand, marketing, consistent service delivery and service improvements. In addition I continued to manage the Luton branch and Manchester/London and Birmingham in the absence of a Branch Manager (and consistently managed to contribute some margin every month as well!). Austin Benn was good to me but I found the frustrations of being a small division of a monolithic group quite an obstacle for change. I'd like to think that I was instrumental in taking Austin Benn into the 21st Century and was certainly a stabling influencer to the Senior Management Team through both challenging and changing times

ETS Travel are part of the NST Travel Group and are a specialist school tour operator. I was responsible for selling historical tours.

STS Travel Limited, established 1933 were the original school tour operator. Taken over by the Rank Organisation they changed their name to Rank STS Travel. I was in a sales role selling educational tours. I also co-ordinated the field sales team
