The Rural Coordination Centre of BC connects people who are passionate about, or play a role in, enhancing rural health equity in British Columbia—from rural citizens and physicians to municipal and Indigenous leaders to provincial policymakers.As Content Specialist, my role with RCCbc is managing and generating photo and video assets in support of RCCbc rural health initiatives and projects in addition to supporting the communications team at large. In this capacity I liaise with physicians and team members from around the province to propose and execute photo, video and other communications projects.

As a freelance journalist I have been a contributor to a variety of newsrooms, responsible for pursuing story leads, researching and developing story ideas, content production and editing photos and copy for publication. Clients include newspapers such as the Delta Optimist, The Richmond News and the Whistler Question. Other publishing credits include CNN.com, Muy Intersante Magazine, Impact Magazine, Canadian Running, Canadian Cycling, MTB UK, iRun Magazine and more recently People Magazine, among others. Working with commercial clients such as Canucks Sports and Entertainment, the BC Cancer Foundation, Lululemon and others I have developed strategic plans for photo projects based on detailed needs assessments including scheduling, budget and branding requirements. In this role I have guided projects from pitch to delivery and from research to billing. Recent clients include Forehand Foods Group Ltd and their restaurant Burgoo with four locations, Fluff Design & Decor, a design and home staging house with a premium retail home furnishing collection, and the University of British Columbia's faculties of Science and Medicine.
