I could start with a lot of blah blah about Enterprise Architecture and Business Requirements Mapping to Technology Solutions. That's the bit I understand very well in an Enterprise. However, the bit I love is demonstrating Business Value and engaging in Mutual Envisioning (not vendor envisioning...) both within IT departments, and up to business value proof at board level. Take what you have, make it better and more reliable and available at a lower total cost of ownership.I work on Enterprise Core Infrastructure solutions. This is the part that nobody really sees. It's the part that makes everything else possible. My real passion is not building solutions that work. It's building solutions that also work tomorrow given any number of failures. Technically, it's Multi-site High Availability and Disaster Recovery (hopefully, you never really need the DR part). Simply, it means that once it's in place, walk away and rest assured, it will tolerate failures while you sleep.I have provided Consulting Services throughout Africa for over 10 years with a large part of this representing Microsoft Consulting Services for West East and Central Africa. Africa is a FANTASTIC place to work because of the pace of change. Fluid change without legacy constraints are giving Africa the abilities to leapfrog many first world, well established (another word for bureaucratic) countries and the boundaries of solutions are only limited by vision. I gained the Microsoft Certified Master (MCM) certification in 2009. There's a good chance you have never heard of this because it wasn't available at your local VUE or Prometric Testing Center.
