Responsible for full customer management and an AR portfolio of over $5 million dollars, including outbound collection contact, reminders and dunning notices, facilitation of credit card and/or ACH remittance, and full customer satisfaction from the initiation of sales quotes through order payment. Day-to-day responsibilities include answering invoice inquiries via email and telephone, resolving billing disputes to remove obstacles to payment, outbound collection calls and emails to rectify past due balances, account reconciliation, cash application, delinquency/bad debt reporting, and continuously working to upgrade, streamline and increase the effectiveness of all collection processes. Report directly to the CFO, completing any other special projects or assignments as requested. The Washington Music Center began offering small-scale integration services to businesses and local houses of worship through the 1970s. Achieved and maintained an allowance for doubtful accounts of less than 2% (as a percentage of total AR) during my entire tenure with the company. Created and implemented a fuel surcharge on each invoice that greatly reduced fuel and fleet expense, maintaining that report throughout.
