Rob's extensive experience in industry has been gained in Australia, Europe, Scandanavia and the USA. He established and developed over a period of 12 years a successful business in the SME environment engaged in manufacturing, distribution and B to B marketing. In 1994 he established Business And Recruitment Consulting P/L (BARC), specialising in executive and technical placements for clients in a broad range of industry sectors throughout Australia. BARC focuses on Technical, Executive and Commercial recruitment. .Other business services provided by BARC include consulting in Lean Process Reengineering, Supply Chain Management, Training, OHS&E, Financial & Organisational Planning, Employee Relations/Human Resources support and Outplacement assistance, and Marketing and Market Research, with each of the services managed by consultants who are specialists in their field.

A principal manufacturer and marketeter of chemicals, coatings and printing inks for the Australian and overseas press and metal container industry. State Managers, State Sales Managers and Product Managers reported to Rob in his position of Marketing Manager, with additional responsibilities including the role of Chairman of the NSW Management Committee.1981

Responsible for marketing and sales of a large and diverse range of extruded and fabricated products for industrial applications.Rob's business development initiatives included an extended overseas visit to manufacturing plants in the USA, Germany, Sweden and the UK in order to research a newly developed extrusion process. This was completed by in-depth market research in Australia as background for a CAPEX proposal.
