Spotlight on Oracle• Designed and assisted development of all new features for the product. Most notably:• Predictive Diagnostics – performance modeling: Designed and developed the collector to collect database performance metrics over a period of time to be fed to the statistics engine to predict database resource usage and help users plan what hardware they will need in the future. Helped to design the business rules for modeling the performance• I/O diagnostics: re-designed and re-implemented the I/O diagnostics in Spotlight on Oracle and Spotlight on RAC so users could better understand what I/O was occurring on their system• Data Guard home page: designed and developed a new data guard homepage to monitor data guard environments. Helps users determine the health of the standby environment to see if it is lagging, or if it is placing overhead on the primary database• Set up many environments to support the development and test of the tools.
