Hired onto Shopify's team working with Amazon, we built first class support for Buy with Prime for Shopify merchants. We produced a turn-key experience for merchants allowing them to continue to use Shopify for their online stores (and everything else Shopify offers!) while also leveraging Amazon for order fulfillment without having to switch between two different order / order management systems.

I helped grow the EverQuote engineering team from 5 to over 30. Even though we grew quite large I still wore many hats: Product Developer, Systems Architect, DevOps Engineer and iOS Engineer.Along the journey I conceived of entirely new products within the organization. I conceptualized and implemented an innovative click-to-call system which opened up new monetization paths for our traffic teams. The system is tightly integrated with our in-house reporting infrastructure and has been in production use for over two years.I've been the go-to person for multiple related projects involving real-time generation of custom data-driven assets (images, mostly). These projects made heavy use of server-side node.js, memcached and Redis. Again, all were tightly integrated with our in-house reporting system for maximum utilization.I've helped us justify and move forward on a full migration to AWS. This has involved hiring staff with specific skill sets to achieve the goal as well as pioneering our usage of new cloud services in the context of existing systems. I've been involved in high-level decision making as well as low-level implementation details — creating launch configurations, auto scaling groups, etc.

I developed and maintained a web-based configuration utility (implemented using Rails + Prototype.js) used by ITA's technical consultant team to configure completely custom API endpoints for RESTful low-fare search requests. I decided to leave the company following the announcement of its acquisition by Google.
