I was the Animation Director for Middle Watch, a 2023 BAFTA nominated short animated film. While working closely with the film's Directors John Stevenson & Aiesha Penwarden, Department Heads and our Production Manager, I Lead a collective team of 30-40 artists split between the Animation (2D, 3D & FX) and Clean-up departments. I worked to define the direction for the films Animation & Clean Up styles, along with all their respective processes & pipelines, as well ensuring all character designs met the film's performative, storytelling and visual needs. Alongside this I was responsible for providing guidance, artistic training, production resources (e.g. shot briefs, written guides, and maquettes), and technical support to ensure the highest achievable standard of work from my departments.
