About Rob Trlak (Rob Salem)
I am a photographer, videographer, artist, writer, poet, musician, graphic designer, and former internet radio DJ living in north central Indiana. "Rob Salem" is the name under which I work and publish.As a photographer I like to capture candid moments in my work, preferring to show people as they truly are or feel in a moment. Much of my work is "raw" and "gritty", sometimes over- or underexposed or a touch out of focus, but that's okay--the kinds of photos I like to take are meant to depict life as it's happening. As a graphic designer and artist I am skilled at and comfortable with logo design, general graphic design (album covers, book covers, posters, t-shirts, etc), and traditional fine art media such as drawing and painting. My style is similar to that of my photographic work: raw and rough, but I am fully capable of doing "clean" work. As a writer and poet, I have previously published with Sanitarium Magazine, Dagda Publishing, Crosstime Publishing, and Tor Books. The Forge
The Forge started on Radio Free Kokomo at Indiana University Kokomo; I hosted the show and featured underground and unsigned rock and metal bands from the Midwest. After Radio Free Kokomo was shut down by the university, The Forge became its own station October 2015, which I fully branded and programmed on my own. Aside from hosting a weekly live show myself, I picked up a few other internet radio shows and podcasts as part of the programming, and was on the distribution list for several major record labels, receiving new releases for airplay. The station went off air in July 2016, but I have been working recently to relaunch it as a podcast.The Forge can currently be found at http://www.theforgeradio.com

Recruit and train new DJ's/on-air talent; develop and manage programming and content; audio production. I also developed branding and a website (never used due to the closure of the station) for the station, as well as managing social media accounts under the RFK name. In February 2015, station staff were notified that the university would no longer be supporting the station's operations, and that the program would end effective the end of the Spring 2015 semester (May).
