Procor Regina is an AAR M-1002 and M-1003, and M-214 certified repair facility, providing service for railway damage tank cars, advance and scheduled qualifications of tank cars, hopper car reconditioning, blasting and painting services, and valve service including rebuilding / and testing. I'm the acting second-shift (afternoon shift) production supervisor, with responsibilities ranging in scope from task delegation to technical decision making for a staff of over 25 full time employees including main shop, blast and paint, and steam-rack (cleaning) team members.

- Install, maintain, and repair equipment used in the production of cleaning and sorting grain products (namely, pulse crops such as lentils and chickpeas).- Service to equipment used includes bucket elevator legs, chain and paddle drags, belt tube conveyors, gravity tables, dry stoners, sizers, indents, air compressors and various powered mobile equipment.- Use various hand and power tools to complete repairs or maintenance in a timely fashion.- Use welding and cutting equipment to fabricate parts for machinery, construct platforms and support structures, and make various repairs to damaged metal components as needed. - Operate and maintain equipment such as skid-steer, front end loader, tractors, switch trucks, and various forklifts.- Maintain shop cleanliness and organization as needed. - Order, purchase, and pick up parts or supplies as the job requires. Maintain a list of suppliers and contacts for specialty parts or consultation. - Sit on and act as a member of the OH&S committee for the employee’s side. Carry out monthly inspection tasks as prescribed.

Procor at the Regina East location was an AAR M-1002 and M-1003 certified repair facility, providing service for railway damage tank cars, advance and scheduled qualifications of tank cars, full valve service and rebuilding/ testing. I was an inbound/ outbound inspector and lead hand for the shop. I started as a welder/ mechanic in the shop and have had a very positive experience working with the team on a number of projects involving railway damaged cars and other repairs.

Working for Mosaic Potash (Belle Plaine Site), Cando Rail Services provides railcar cleaning, repair, and switching services. Switching service is provided around the clock, 7 days a week. Cando also is contracted for monthly rail and turnout inspections on Mosaic's yard tracks. Reporting all defects noted, and advising the customer of applicable time frames and costs associated for repairs. I have had the opportunity to be a part of it all (Car mechanic and welder/ Foreman, Track Supervisor, Conductor) during my time at Cando Rail.

Alsooperated plasma cutters, oxy-acetylene setups for cutting and preheating. As part of the road crew, we travelled to various locations in Saskatchewan and Alberta, including the Fort McMurray oil sands to build, repair, and tear-down fertilizer material handling facilities.Responsible for reading and understanding blueprints and building within tolerances and specifications.
