• Instrumental role with the transition of documentation from the corporate office. Documentation includes manuals, procedures, policies, work instructions, forms and records.• Key role with hiring and managing the quality department with qualified personnel including quality engineers, quality system engineers, customer quality engineers, lab verification engineers, CMM programmers, lab supervisors and technicians, quality supervisors, incoming and outgoing quality inspectors.• Work with exterior consultants to establish homologation achievements within the facility. Homologation requirements to certify the quality lab equipment and testing parameters to meet customer requirements and global acceptance of our facility with China, Europe, Brazil, Indonesia and North America. Achieved AMECA certification to test automotive safety glass. • Prepare and lead customer specific supplier assessment audits to become an approved tier 1 supplier to OEM’s in the US. OEM facilities that have performed supplier assessment audits are Honda, Hyundai, VW, BMW, GM, Ford and Chrysler. • Work with the quality engineers to establish their systems to mature within Fuyao following the APQP process flow. Helping them establish documentation, rules and assisting in questions and directions to identify planning techniques.• Utilize PLEX manufacturing cloud as the overall control system which includes all quality materials, calibration, systemic control, quality controls, purchasing, logistics etc.• Preparation for the ISO/TS 16949 certification process within Fuyao, completion plan set for November 2016.• Preparation of the laboratory to achieve ISO 17025 accreditation for testing automotive safety glass and pursue internal calibration testing within 1 year of initial accreditation.
