“𝐖𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧?” 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐀𝐐𝐬I’m Rob and wasn’t born a salesperson. I was shy and introverted growing up and thought I would be an accountant. Then in college, I made a couple of hundred bucks from penny stocks, and I was hooked! Decided that big business was my passion. Got my MBA in Marketing and Finance, and went to Ford's College Graduate Program at WHQ. Rotated through several functions including, purchasing, finance, and marketing. Learned a lot! Finally discovered that I wanted to sell, but not with Ford in Detroit. Cars were never my thing! My first car was a Chevy Nova. Then joined Xerox Learning Systems to become a salesperson and had no clue about selling. This Xerox division sold Professional Selling Skills (PSS) to Fortune 500 companies. Right. I didn't know how to sell, but I was selling sales training. I took the challenge and learned everything I could about selling and made 𝑹𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒆-𝒐𝒇-𝒕𝒉𝒆-𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓. After fourteen years, started 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺, a sales and management training company. We delivered custom training programs to companies around the globe.Discovered that managing was so critical to the success of any company, including my own. We added management development programs and worked with managers - helping them to lead their teams. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 - 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬? I love working with small/medium-sized companies. They need help to grow their businesses. In smaller organizations, I can provide answers to their questions. I’m not a fly on the wall who stops by and then disappears. I worked with companies like:■ P&G ■ Kroger ■ MetLife ■ Aurora Products ■ Department of Energy ■ Cisco ■ Gasser ■ Deloitte ■ Western & Southern ■ Marriott ■ Wright Patterson ■ AT𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝗱𝗼 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞?There are many companies claiming results. We make a difference. Must be the financial background that encourages me to get an ROI from training and coaching. We begin by asking clients what they want to achieve, then build/customize an experience that gets results. 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭?Just call. Let me understand your needs. My background in training and development, helps us to move quickly and effectively through a curriculum. My leadership positions in Blue Chip companies give me practical real-world experience to share and relate to my clients. Between coaching sessions there are specific assignments to apply learning on-the-job situations. Coaching programs last from three months to one year. We try to meet both the leader' and organization's needs and spend only the amount of time that will create the change needed."Rob is an exceptional coach and mentor. Through his real world business experiences he was able to easily relate to issues I was having. After just a few meetings he was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses. Our discussions and follow-up work were all custom tailored specifically to my needs. He provided me with many new tools to deal with the everyday issues I was having in my new management position.
