Panelist, journalist, producer, news-analyst, and broadcast engineer for a live talk-radio program on community-sponsored Pacifica WBAI Radio which investigates and discusses current events, technology, and social issues from hacker perspectives.In addition to being a live talk-radio panelist on the air, I work behind the scenes with my colleagues to gather news and other material of interest to the program. I also participate in public relations and community fundraising on behalf of the program and the station. Occasionally, I work as a live broadcast engineer.

I used stuff-making machines to make stuff for makers who make stuff!I worked in 3DP Production and Post-production in the SLS (nylon) division, the SLA acrylic photopolymer division, and the experimental FDM-based cast-porcelain division.I also worked as a specialist in the Distribution center, regularly contributed to the work of Trust & Safety, Customer Service, and other departments, and trained people for positions well above my own pay grade.

Contributed to a long-running, award-winning educational Internet TV series focused on media literacy.I could be seen and/or heard on-screen in various supporting cast roles, live as well as puppeteering. Behind the scenes I shared writing and production duties. I contributed puppetcrafting, graphic and set design, and other artistic contributions. I worked on three successful crowdfunding campaigns to finance production. On the technical end I performed regular camera and sound duties, and was a frequent Director of Photography. I also designed, maintained, and wrote copy for the program's website and social-media presences.By way of training at Manhattan Neighborhood Network, I became certified in various aspects of professional-grade studio-based TV production.

Preparing, editing, publishing, and testing audiobooks for a nonprofit library for the blind, visually impaired, and reading-disabled.I took digital audio files of talking books, mostly converted from the library's extensive collection of tape-recorded books produced over the decades, and added the necessary markers, metadata, and post-production work to convert them to an updated digital talking book (DTB) format usable by modern DAISY-type talking-book players such as those made available by the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS).

3D printing specialist, testing facility technician, cell leader.I started at MakerBot when it was a scrappy open-source startup ready to take on the world and do some disrupting, and held on for two really active and roller-coaster-like years through explosive growth, direction-changing, expansion into related fields, and corporate acquisition.I worked in the company's "BotFarm," which started as a couple workbenches' worth of 3D printers in a storefront and eventually grew into rooms filled with shelves of hundreds of units on a factory floor and in a large office building. In addition to operating and maintaining the 'bots as a "BotFarmer," I ran experiments and gathered R&D results, trained 3D designers in the specifics of designing for print, and contributed to the company's competitive-intelligence files.I worked in a public-facing position, speaking with visitors, investors, politicians, students, and the press about the field and the company. I also contributed to the marketing department in a creative capacity.
