Over the course of a substantial career in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality leadership, I have developed a professional practice that extends from rigorous management and governance of safety processes to delivery of major change programs. I have taken on mandates to build a unified and coherent WHS framework out of disparate legacy systems, and I have reduced numerous instances of duplication causing significant inefficiencies and opportunities for misinterpretation between business units. I have also achieved a transformational improvement in key safety metrics, including a significant reduction in injury rates, and have led change management programs to increase safety engagement on site and ensure compliance with WHSEQ parameters at a contractual level. I am a passionate advocate of bottom-up reporting and capacity-building on site and, in addition to being able to engender engagement with frontline personnel, am equally comfortable presenting to C-suite and Board level decision-makers.
