Following the integration of URS with AECOM Australia, my role has remained essentially the same. I lead and manage water resource projects for clients in the resource and industrial sectors. While most of my projects are based in Australia, I have managed several water resource projects overseas. Key areas of expertise include: water supply, dewatering, environmental impact assessments, leading numerical modelling investigations, mine closure planning, risk assessments. All of these are routinely undertaken in a multi-disciplinary environment making effective communication of sometimes highly technical groundwater concepts an important aspect of my involvement.

My role with URS was as a hydrogeologist and project manager across groundwater resource assessments, environmental impact and risk assessments, closure planning and regulatory compliance. I worked with a broad range of people from many disciplines and across many companies.

During my 16 years with Rockwater, I spent much of it in the field with drilling rigs, undertaking pumping tests and meeting many wonderful people across Australia. Sites I worked at were mostly mining-related and were often in the middle of nowhere. Fantastic things to see and experience first-hand.

While studying, I was employed by Worley Consultants to undertake field investigations as an Geological Technicial. Once I graduated I was employed as an Engineering Geologist. This role included geotechnical investigations, rig supervision and support of Geotechnical Engineers within the organisation.
