About Robert Weidhaas

Die Cutting is certainly not new, nor is the Clamshell. Our passion is making the Crest Clamshell sexy! We love to die cut “stuff!" In our R&D lab in Central New Jersey, we die cut all sorts of substrates, striving to reinvent the clamshell die cutter and the way in which we die cut. Our goal is to help you reduce your setup times, increase productivity and provide your customers with quality die cut parts resulting in all parties being happy and profitable – a true partnership.I founded My Press Needs in 2000 from my Pennsylvania bedroom. Shortly after, I partnered with a factory in Taiwan that I had worked with while running the mechanical division for Preco Industries. Since our founding, the Crest Clamshell has evolved into a high precision, high tonnage clamshell press capable of die cutting all traditional substrates. The latest Crest technology - the Widemouth™ - die cuts today's "impossible" substrates such as Falconboard®, Foamboard, Re-Board®, Ultra® Board and many more.My wife hated our tag line because she thought it was too "salesy" – Reliability backed by integrity. Guaranteed. I argued it is not a tag line; it simply who we are. Our customers agreed. We take great pride in the quality of our product and services we provide, and I promise you if we do have a problem (and machines do break) we will stand by you - our customer or future customer - and work to correct the matter as quickly as possible. Our Specialties: Our core product is Customer Satisfaction, we also sell high quality Die Cutters. The “No More Make-Ready” Crest Clamshell Die Cutting Press (20”x26” up to 63”x123”) We are constantly innovating and developing new techniques with the aim of die cutting what is thought to be impossible; improving the cut edge and reducing setup times – all to help provide our customers a competitive advantage.
