I joined Westmill as the Infrastructure Service Manager, reporting into the IS Manager.Accountabilities:• Management of the day-to-day operation and support of the network infrastructure across five sites.• Management of Cisco IPT phone system for approx. 260 extensions.• Management of backup procedures and strategy.• Management of relationship with newly formed Shared Service Centre at Associated British Foods.Achievements included:• Managed and delivered the upgrade of network infrastructure (from Extreme to Cisco) at 4 sites with minimal disruption to the business resulting in complete third-party management of the network.• Delivered extension of existing wi-fi network into additional offices/warehouse at Enfield site allowing warehouse management system implementation.• Managed the relocation of 12 users at the Selby site to nearby premises, and back again, during construction work on office buildings.• Modernised the Cisco telephony system (approximately 260 extensions), including introduction of Contact Centre Express, bringing the system up to supported versions and integrated with the ERP systems, saving time for the Customer Services team.• Facilitated the relocation of the Netherlands office, ensuring new building was correctly cabled and connected to the wide area network, achieving office space cost savings.• Launched and managed door access system to comply with ABF security regulations, meaning a reduction in audit points.• Managed the migration of all 3 Westmill Foods’ UK sites (approximately 190 users) to Lotus Domino 7, implementing iNotes and Notes Nomad for the remote users.• Introduced an asset database to log and track hardware, aiding more comprehensive reviews of the estate for upgrades, etc.
