Australian Community Media (ACM) brings together the operations of Fairfax Regional Media, Agricultural Media, Fairfax Community Newspapers, Newcastle, Illawarra and Canberra. My region includes 13 mastheads across the Sydney and Illawarra regions.This role sees me manage an inbound and outbound phone based sales and administration team to deliver a combined print and digital budget as set by the business with consultation. A large part of my role involves the coaching of staff during weekly individual meetings to ensure they achieve the best results for themselves, and the business. I am the escalation point for customer complaints and disputes, and I always take a customer centric approach in determining resolution strategies. I understand their needs, challenges and concerns.I bring the highest level of integrity, honesty and accountability in everything I do. I display a high level of commercial and business acumen and can forecast and identify challenges and opportunities ahead for the business through the use of data – specifically financial analysis.

In this role I supported the Marketing Manager and Group Sales Manager across 14 mastheads. I was responsible for stakeholder engagement and management through the establishment of contra agreements with not-for-profits. I also coordinated staff to volunteer for events both internal, and external to the business. This included the management of risk assessments and other workplace health and safety requirements. Much of this role involved the development and roll out of sales collateral and promotional material for the regional business.

Managed the sales administration team to achieve targets, meet deadlines, and constantly look for improvement in processes. I was the escalation point for customer disputes ensuring the best outcome for both the customer and the business. I trained staff using these actual scenarios through coaching and role play. My role saw me work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop, trial and introduce a new paperless booking system first at The Illawarra Mercury before it was rolled out across the broader Fairfax group.
