Robyn Campbell is a Founder and Chief Creative Officer at Fawn. Colleagues describe her as "As the Founder and Co-Executive Producer of WIA Vancouver's Animation Career EXCELerator (ACE) Program, I am thrilled to speak about Robyn. The ACE jury process of selecting a writer for the program is quite daunting as we challenged the candidates not only on their writing skills but on their voice, views of our industry, and their passion to succeed. In the final selection, Robyn’s script was solid and resonated with the entire jury. Robyn herself stood out for her drive, generosity, and clear focus for what she wants to achieve. Once selected as our writer, Teri Snelgrove, Producer with the NFB, Julie Stewart, Showrunner and EP with Team Stewart, and myself, moved on to mentoring. Robyn was a true team player. The script went through several iterations as Robyn took notes with the poise and patience of a seasoned writer, always maintaining her true intentions. Robyn is driven to continue learning and growing in her chosen craft. She is excited and confident. I have no doubt Robyn will have a great career as a showrunner and writer. So proud that she is a part of ACE ! " and "I had the immense pleasure of working closely with Robyn through the first stages of the Women in Animation ACE program. I was on the jury that selected her script, Pivot, based on her writing ability, her excellent sense of story, the depth with which she approached the theme of the project, and her excellent communication skills during the pitch itself. All of her written materials were well thought out, and beautifully put together. Once Robyn was selected as the writer for this year's ACE program, I was then part of a small team who continued to mentor her throughout the script revision process. It was an excellent experience. Robyn brought so much to the table: intelligence, talent, a great sense of humour, and a strong work ethic. She welcomed our feedback, gave our conversations a great deal of thought, and incorporated changes in the script without ever losing sight of her voice in the project. This is no mean feat! I have so much respect for her as a writer, and am excited to see what she'll produce in the years to come. "
