I have worked for the busiest fast food chain for four years in different capacities; crew, crew trainer, area leader and manager. I was able to learn and develop my skills whilst being full time in university. With being a manager in McDonalds I have collected an array of transferable skills:•Problem solving- I am able to stand back to monitor the situation. Analyse the situation to see what the cause is and why it is occurring. Use my knowledge on how to fix the issue. Execute my plan with a rational solution.•Management- As a manger I always aim to evoke possibility into others by helping them tap into their talents and resources. Being creative as a manager is key; to spark new ideas and be innovative at all times. This helps pull all the people and pieces of a shift together into a cohesive whole. I am committed to the success of myself, crew and store; even during the hard times I am a motivator. I can accept when I have made mistakes, I do not dwell on these- I learn from them!•Team Work- I thrive in team situations whether it be as a team leader or sitting back and being a passive member of the team. I am able to efficiently organise and delegate to around 30-40 people (number of crew on a shift).Roles and responsibilities:•Acting as quality control, ensuring customer satisfaction through training employees and adhering to company policy and procedures.•Assisting the salaried and Business Manager in all managerial tasks.•Overseeing all operations in the restaurant•Meeting all sales targets and guest count set in place by the Business Manager and Franchisee •Controlling labour costs and ensuring to stay within the labour parameters.•Controlling inventory (food/stock) waste to remain in B2A target.•Understand profit and loss in order to create daily target to increase average customer spend •Interacting with customers to ensure they had a satisfactory visit.•Cash handling- including cashing up tills and bank deposits.

I was assigned a project manager role to comprise a new tooling database that helped correlate existing usable tooling and discarded any non-conforming tooling to reduce the foot print of the test beds site. I managed to coordinate this project efficiently with end results being (substantially) reducing and cataloguing the current tooling.Skills gained:•Time management throughout the projective assisted with Gantt chart. Managing to adhere to the deadline set by Rolls Royce•Project Management the ability to communicate, organise and delegate to achieve a common goal. I had a fresh creative response to here-and-now issues and/or opportunities•Quick learner to the Rolls Royce systems, lingo, procedures and manuals •Ability to work under pressure and to adapt to any changing variables throughout the project •Motivation, being able to motivate others during the project but also motivating myself to exceed expectations.
