I began to train in the specialty area of industrial rehabilitation quickly into my PT career. I am now trained in post-employment screening, a CWcHP specialist in work-related rehab, implementing our work conditioning/work hardening program participants, and a Matheson-trained FCE provider. I am also certified by the NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and utilize these principles in order to further expand and specialize our industrial rehabilitation program to return our athletes back to the work place. I enjoy working with high school and college athletes on returning back to play, however, there is something extremely special when I can return a patient back to work so they continue to provide for their families, get part of their identity back and can resume normal life. My absolute favorite rehab programs are S/P ACL reconstruction and S/P shoulder arthroscopy recovery. My new role as a clinic director has brought me even more joy in community outreach and becoming somewhere North Charleston/Hanahan/Goose Creek residents can come for any of their outpatient PT needs, and can refer their neighbors, children, parents in the future and they know I will be there to get them back on their feet. When I am not working, I enjoy working with my rescue dog on her own Therapy Dog certification, working on our home with my husband and checking out local festivals and farmers markets. I'm also an online wellness coach, running a small accountability group for women to share their health and fitness journeys together from all over the US and make sure we prioritize self care so we "pour into others from a full cup ourselves".
