• This role was solely sales-based in a retail environment, selling holidays to customers and any other aspects in their holiday planning. • A great knowledge of locations, companies and the other aspects such as travel insurance was required for this role in order to sell the holidays but also create a strong relationship with the customers since you are making their dreams come true potentially. • Furthermore, I was trained in the bureau and dealt with all worldwide currencies, constantly working with exchange rates and a knowledge in money laundering and how to spot it.

• This role was a careers coach for the University of Liverpool's Careers Studio, exploring with current students and graduates to seek their future career and improving their skills needed for employment. • This role varied with every shift ranging from CV and Cover Letter improvements, to providing websites for students who were unsure where to look for career inspiration.

• I participated in an internship programme for freelance translation, that helped me gain the experience I needed to develop my knowledge in languages and culture for both my degree but also in future employment. • I was mainly sent documents that specialise in medical and legal documents, learning essential vocabulary as the internship progressed.

• As part of my year abroad, I worked as a teaching assistant intern for the French teaching company Language Connexion in Paris, France. • In this role I taught English to primary school children as well as assisting in the children’s everyday learning of other subjects such as Maths and Art. • It was initially a difficult role where no teachers spoke English which required me to use French in all of my conversations. Nevertheless, this made the experience more rewarding as I was able to gain near-fluency in French.
