About Robyn Rees

There are two quotes that frame my core personal and leadership values. The first speaks to how I take care in bringing my personal best to each interaction, and reads: “Each job is a self-portrait of the person who did it. Autograph your work with excellence.” The second resonates deeply with my desire to connect people to a larger vision, so that the organization as a unit can achieve common goals: “It is not about how you can win, but about who you can help cross the finish line.”I am a passionate advocate for enabling an "ever-ready" workforce that is highly resilient, adaptable to the changing world of work, and who will continue to be highly contributing members of diverse teams. Through the DOI Office of Human Capital efforts to enable an ecosystem of continuous reskilling and redeploying, I am an advocate for prioritizing human capital, workforce, and work data, in order to provide equitable access to employment and advancement information over a long, varied, and diverse career. I leverage my deep understanding of the formulation, planning and execution of the Federal IT budget, IT operations, and IT management and governance, to facilitate packaging of ideas and communication across all levels and between disciplines. Prior to joining the Federal Government, I worked for almost a decade as a contractor for the Federal government, performing IT management activities for multi-million-dollar, IT infrastructure and customer service contracts. I honed my strengths in analytical, big picture thinking, and the ability to communicate complex messages in understandable ways. I served multiple functions including: financial management, strategic staffing, IT policy and process development, quality management, and project management. More importantly, I learned the value of relationship building, mentoring, and the value of inspired team work.

Listed skills include Program Management, Government Contracting, Analysis, Proposal Writing, and 13 others.
