I work for a gastroenterology clinic where I assess patient symptoms, perform a physical examination, develop a plan of care, order various testing and labs, and treat the patient with medications, lifestyle changes, and other interventions as necessary. Each patient is closely followed to ensure success of treatment or to make changes as needed. I review results of laboratory data, diagnostic testing, colonoscopy and endoscopy reports, and pathology from biopsies. I maintain communication with patients who call the office with questions or worsening symptoms. I also do inpatient rounding at 3 of the area hospitals.
