I'm managing a parent led Neuro-disability Training Project that's aimed to improve signposting and attitudes of professionals, who work with children between the ages 0-12, who have Autism and/or ADHD and their families. The training will take place from May 2023-Octobet 2023 medical, educational and family support workers are all welcome.My current responsibilities are recruiting my three teams of parent trainers, health trainers and local authority officers who will deliver 3 separate sections within the training but all work with each other. Each team given an induction and some given training. I'm responsible for all social media advertising and creating the adverts. I also take care of the admin and event arrangements. And oversee all the teams meetings and work. I run a transparent team that prioritises respect and understanding for one another.

My role as a Nightstop Coordinator is a busy and varied role that involves recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, promoting the service to key stakeholders, and supporting young people directly. It includes being part of a team delivering an assessment and support service that enables vulnerable and homeless people to access emergency accommodation in the homes of trained and approved volunteers. Guests receive immediate assessment and if appropriate, will be matched with a local volunteer who will provide overnight accommodation, breakfast and an evening meal and the use of washing and bathing facilities etc. And also working with people who are on a longer-term placement with host homes, providing a comprehensive support package to enable a smooth transition towards the goal of independent living.My work as a Nightstop Coordinator is underpinned by the Depaul Endeavour model of assets based, psychologically informed delivery. The aim of which is to ensure that every guest leaves a Depaul service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.Working under the direction, guidance, and support of my manager I’ve been responsible for guests needing emergency accommodation and longer-term support, as well as sharing responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all volunteers and staff at the service.The service is available to anyone who is homeless, aged 16 to 25. It is available 365 days per year. Working with homeless people across identified local authority areas to support and achieve the best possible accommodation and support outcomes for each individual.My role also has responsibility’s under Depaul’s commitment to successfully deliver contracted outcomes.

As part of the NCS graduate Program I completed my NCS trust training and began working as a team assistant on three residential waves. Where I worked along side my team leader in supporting and taking care of are team of 13, 17-18 year olds through the program, providing motivation while also keeping the peace within the team and making sure everyone is safe and present. I also provided additional mobility issues awareness workshops for all of the teams on program alongside my own continued social action group.
