Robyn E. Younger is a native of Philadelphia, PA. Educated in the public-school district of Philadelphia, she continued her post-secondary education at Temple University where she earned an undergraduate degree in Civil and Construction Engineering Technology and a graduate degree in Environmental Health and Industrial Hygiene. Mrs. Younger spent her early career (1988-1998) as a Project Design Engineer for BCM Engineers, Inc and Gilmore and Associates, Inc. respectively. In 1998, she joined E. I. DuPont Corporation in Wilmington, DE where she served in various roles culminating her 17-year career having responsibility for development and implementation of occupational safety programs and regulatory compliance for their global contractor community. In 2006, Mrs. Younger launched Younger Days, LLC®, a financial literacy company in the East Oak Lane section of Philadelphia which expanded over the years to include a full-service childcare and youth development center along with a business and family resource center. Mrs. Younger retired from her corporate career in early 2016 to devote her time and talents to Younger Days, LLC. Although a small business, Younger Days, LLC has 10 employees and its investment portfolio has grown modestly yet consistently.In 2004, Mrs. Younger received the Gallery of Success Award from Temple University’s College of Engineering and in 2005 she was the first African American woman to establish a scholarship for a female at the University's College of Engineering. She was recognized as one of Philadelphia’s Most Influential African American Women by the Philadelphia Branch of the NAACP in 2012 and 2013; and named a Philadelphia Region Leader by the Philadelphia Tribune for four consecutive years (2012-2016). In 1999 she became a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, PA Chapter. The organization advocates on behalf of women of color to promote gender equity in the areas of health, education and economic empowerment. Mrs. Younger is the past President of the organization having served in that capacity from 2012-2016.Mrs. Younger is passionate about eradicating generational debt, advocating for gender equity and the advancement of women of color and promoting health and wellness. Mrs. Younger believes that in order to move forward, one must continue to give back. This principle is demonstrated in her daily acts through mentoring and community outreach. She resides in Philadelphia. She is married and has 2 daughters, Toria and Tien.
