I started my professional life working in the legal field, politics and business. Even though I found these careers rewarding, the levels of stress were difficult for my body and health. I turned to my yoga practice for support and healing. I worked with an acupuncturist to change my habits from my previous lifestyle of stress, lack of sleep and little exercise to a more balanced self care practice. Gradually, I started to learn more about our health care system, preventable diseases and alternative healing modalities, which inspired me to share this information with close family and friends. When the economy took a downturn in 2009, I decided to take a yoga teacher training in between contracts. I taught yoga for several years, then finally decided I wanted to put all my energy into teaching yoga full time. Upon the passing of the Affordable Care Act, I am interested in broadening my yoga teaching to businesses and corporations interested in developing corporate wellness program. Presently, I teach yoga at The Yoga House Atlanta, I also teach yoga as part of a health and wellness program for federal employees with the CDC. I also teach yoga around the Atlanta area at various LA Fitness locations. I believe yoga is for everyone, so I enjoy teaching in diverse settings. I also work with private clients at home and with small businesses in the area.
