Human Resources Generalist
Current• Administer payroll in accordance with state laws.• Maintains up to date knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.• Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant hourly positions.• Responds to employee questions and inquiries regarding payroll policies and procedures.• Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.• Keeps records of benefits plans participation, new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting. • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence and employee assistance. • Advises supervisors regarding appropriate resolution of employee relations issues such as disciplinary actions, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety and unlawful harassment.• Assists with performance management, working closely with supervisors providing guidance for performance reviews and merit increases.
