With a passion for helping people who do great work to win more work, I have three decades’ experience in helping professional services firms, commercial businesses and non-profit organisations to position their value and to win highly competitive contracts through bids and tenders. From 2001-2019 I maintained a long-term consulting practice as a business development advisor, where my clients won and retained hundreds of millions of dollars worth of business with many of Australia’s largest corporate and government buyers. Chief Growth And Advocacy Officer
Current
Team Leader – Anz Focused Growth, Sales Operations | People And Places Solutions
In this role, I was responsible for a team of Sales Operations Managers who led strategic city-shaping pursuits across Australia and New Zealand, including the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Western Sydney Aerotropolis. Our focus was on positioning Jacobs as the preferred partner for major clients embarking on significant and complex programs of work, aimed at solving the pressing problems of our time and creating a more connected, sustainable world. I was also a Committee Member for Prism, Jacobs' LGBT+ employee network, active in driving participation in events such as Wear It Purple Day and initiatives that will meaningfully improve the lives of LGBT+ people at work, such as gender affirmation leave. All ANZ - based roles in the Focused Growth team were made redundant in November 2023 due to a downturn in the infrastructure sector.
Chief Marketing Officer
Ermha365 is one of a very small number of specialist support services in Australia working with people who have significant mental health and cognitive disabilities, and whose backgrounds include trauma, lengthy institutional care, and contact with the forensic/criminal justice system. Its specialist teams successfully transition high-risk, high-needs participants from Secure Extended Care Units (SECUs), in-patient units, prisons and forensic facilities to community living, and ermha365 is a provider of choice for state and territory governments and the NDIA when the system has failed people who present with extreme behaviours of concern and high needs for community-based support. In this role, I led a team of six people responsible for managing ermha’s brand and market position, external communications, advocacy and growth in line with the organisation’s strategic plans. I was also ermha’s key business development and innovation steward, leading new funding and new business pursuits and strategic work to position ermha365 as a “go to” provider of services and programs for people with very complex needs across Australia. In this role, I created (and hosted) the ermha365 fortnightly podcast, Get Real: Talking Mental Health & Disability, which was a Finalist in the Australian Podcast Awards 2021 in the Bullseye category.
