Robyn Hurley is an accredited family and child protection mediator, family lawyer, and sessional university professor. Robyn offers mediation services in all aspects of family and child protection law, and is a member of the London & Middlesex child protection mediation roster with ADR-Link, Family Court Clinic. As well, she provides legal representation for children as a panel member of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer. Robyn is the Director of the Dispute Resolution Centre at the Faculty of Law, Western University, and is a sessional professor at Western University, King's University College in the Social Justice and Peace Studies program. She teaches ADR and Advanced ADR, and has taught Children's Participation in Family Law, Marginalized Childhoods and Access to Justice. She is also a regular guest lecturer at the Faculty of Social Work.Robyn provides comprehensive mediation services, as well as mediation coaching services. She has been a coach and intern mentor at Riverdale Mediation's Family Mediation program, and coached at Stitt Feld Handy Mediation and Negotiation training program.Robyn's background in family law includes representing clients in family law matters as an associate in a small law firm; representing the London and Toronto Children’s Aid Societies as in house counsel; and currently, as child's counsel, representing children and youth in child protection matters. Robyn employs an interest-based and collaborative approach to cases, which clients appreciate for the de-escalation of conflict, increased input in outcomes, and cost/time savings. Robyn's public policy experience includes working as a policy analyst for the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services, and articling at the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
