I am currently a website designer and the owner of Absolutely Social Web Design, and I have been working in web design for over 6 years now. I built up my website design career after receiving my degree and working in a number of businesses within marketing and design. I launched my own business 'Absolutely Social' in 2021 and after a few years of focusing on social media, graphic design, and web design, I realised that designing websites was the area I loved the most, so I now specialise in website design and management. I have experience managing and working on websites for various businesses across many different industries, including; building and construction, physiotherapy and health, Mother and Baby care, retail homeware, and private tutoring, to name a few.

- Social Media management of eight client accounts - Email campaigns and newsletters- Design work- Website management- Google/ website analytics- Press cuttings/ Media coverageI managed all our client’s social media accounts which included Twitter and LinkedIn. This involved content writing, planning and scheduling weekly posts, creating the content including images and video content and general management and customer service. I would report on the monthly performance and send this to the clients. I produced all the email campaigns and client newsletters and bulletins. This involved producing copy, content, any graphics/ images and managing subscribers and client members.I became Keystone’s designer which meant that Keystone could produce design work in-house. Work I have undertaken for clients includes; website banners, leaflets, magazine features, logos, graphics for general social media use, case studies, certificates, email signatures. I also produced some of the design work for the Building Controls Industry Association Awards for 2020, 2021 and 2022 – this involved coming up with the theme as well as all graphics for web, email campaigns, social media, media partner graphics, logos, the invitations, the certificates and the book of the night.I managed Keystone’s website as well as a few of the client websites across platforms including Wordpress and Kentico. I reported on the monthly performance of client websites and social media network referrals. I would report on and send clients their monthly magazine and media coverage that Keystone generated for them including AD and PR values.

I completed an industry placement at Storksak head office as their marketing assistant, where I shadowed and assisted their E- Commerce Manager, Marketing Manager and Art Director.My main roles covered;- Social media management & PR- Blog/ content writing- Email campaigns- Retailer newsletters- Managing brand collaborations- Maintaining the websites- Retailer work- Image management- In-house marketingDue to Storksak’s team being relatively small, I was entrusted with a full time role and became an important part of their team which meant I gained a strong insight into the business as well as the maximum experience from my time there. I thoroughly enjoyed being involved and working within the marketing team and excelled within this role.

Over the summer break I was privileged enough to be able to go and work as an intern at Michael Kors head office in London. While there, I worked alongside the showroom co-ordinator for Women’s wear and was able to have an insight into life in the head office. The stage of the buying cycle meant I was logging samples back into the system that were being sent back from the manufacturers to MK. I was also entrusted with organisational jobs within the Men’s accessories showroom ready for when Buyers from other companies visited. Additionally, I was working with the Merchandisers and the MK women’s model who was used for approval of fit in order to decide on garments for pre-selection. Overall, I was extremely fortunate to have had an opportunity with this company and thoroughly enjoyed my time there, whilst gaining vital experience for my future career focus within the Fashion Industry.
