My professional career as an educator began 23 years ago; however, my passion for writing and for scaffolding the development of fellow writers eager to hone their craft into a marketable message predates my first teaching assignment by more than a decade.Guiding, directing, managing, and editing written projects on a daily basis, I dig deep into both grade-level expectations (standards) and trade genres to lead students into futures of eloquent, coherent communication across all disciplines. Writing requires critical thinking, artistry, and keen attention to detail – skills that comprise the focus of my professional career as aneducator and my personal journey as an author. One of my greatest joys is creating or curating content, both print and digital, that connects my students to topics under study so that theyconsider multiple perspectives and communicate about the topic with insight, sensitivity, and clarity.While I have yet to hold the professional titles of Project Manager or Editor, I can attest that I embody these roles every day as an educator.
