About Robyn Taylor, Mba

Alumna of the Ohio State University (BA) the University of Phoenix (MBA). 20 years ago, Robyn worked at CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence to raise awareness. For ODRC, as a Social Worker with the Magellan Sex Offender program, Director of the Domestic Violence Education Programs for women and a Recovery Services counselor. At North Central Correctional Institution, Robyn established an inmate NAACP chapter, with membership from all races & ethnicity. Her work in the prisons taught resilience! She served as President of the Columbus Council of PTAs (2006-2010), increasing parent involvement & serving on various School Board committees. She’s trained, coached parents throughout Ohio as the 1st statewide project manager for the Parent Leadership Institute with Parents for Public Schools of Greater Cincinnati, Inc. Robyn has worked within the Ohio Department of Health’s Office of Health Policy & Performance Improvement, which includes the Office of Health Equity, the Disability & Health Program, the Cultural Competency project, the State Health Assessment planning execution, the State Health Improvement Plan development process & the Public Health Accreditation Board efforts. Currently, Robyn is the health equity consultant for the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors, working to advance health equity concepts and strategies within chronic disease programs within state health department. She serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for Columbus Area Integrated Health Services, Inc. which was founded in 1965 during Ohio’s first efforts to develop community-based mental health & behavioral services. Along with colleagues locally, statewide and nationally, she works to make a difference. She wants the underdog, marginalized or anyone that is discouraged to be encouraged! We can win together. Robyn is a widow, mother of three beautiful children and a faithful servant to her church.
