The WA Italian Club is one of Perth’s most recognisable and longstanding clubs. The Club was formed in 1934 to support Italian migrants starting a new life in Australia. It has since developed to become a cultural centre of Italian heritage and way of life. Our Club is an excellent example of the successful integration of Italians into the multicultural diversity of Perth. The Club upholds the Founders’ aims to provide cultural, social and sporting amenities to its members. The Club also strives to foster business and networking opportunities for its members.

From the mid-80s to mid-90s Rocco became known for project managing large-scale projects in both the commercial and residential realms. He was a key stakeholder in many projects around Perth and he became notorious for tackling challenging projects head-on.

Rocco spent a large chunk of his career working as the Senior Site Manager of long-standing project builder Summit Projects. Under his management and leadership, he was responsible for overseeing 8 - 15 Site Supervisors, and he managed several thousand projects throughout his tenure. These included a large array of duplex and triplex homes, rear strata developments, narrow lot townhouses, grouped housing developments, multi-units and apartments, and retirement villages, to name a few.

Rocco was Site Manager for a boutique building firm located in the Kalamunda hills. During his tenure he Supervised and Project Managed an array of commercial projects, mixed-use developments, and boutique custom-designed homes, including many of which involved unorthodox building techniques, most of which were situated in the Perth hills locality.

After completing his bricklaying apprenticeship, Rocco commenced his own bricklaying company, which specialised in large and sophisticated projects in both the Commercial and Residential sectors. He managed a team of up to 21 personnel, and became renowned for undertaking complex projects, most of which involved specialised and intricate techniques.
