    My primary responsibility is overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Academy. CMA had an enrollment of approximately 650 students, grades K-8, and 75 staff members. I was closely involved in curriculum development and implementation, school improvement, data analysis, teacher supervision, support and training, parent and community involvement,marketing and recruiting, responsible for compliance with mandates from Federal and State authorities, as well as from our Authorizer, Wayne County RESA. On a regular basis, I worked with administrators from other Michigan charter schools as mentor/advisor, helped write and obtain charters for other schools in the state.written numerous successful grant applications, seeking funding from both Federal and Michigan sources. *Recruiting & maintaining enrollment - Student enrollment grew from 125 to 650 and has maintained over 90% of enrolled students.*Recruiting and maintaining staff - 100% of staff is highly qualified & has been with me 5yrs or more. Under my leadership ongoing support/mentoring and PD was provided to meet all staff needs.*Student achievement - CMA has continued to make AYP receiving an A in 2007 and 2010 and a B the other years. Data from MEAP, Scantron or NWEA was used to revise curriculum to assure student achievement.

    During the first fourteen years of my education career, I taught grades 4 - 6 (all subjects), served as curriculum Director and Administrator at this small private pre-k - 8 school of 100 students. Creative Montessori Center is the parent school of Creative Montessori Academy. I was an active participant in the chartering process from beginning to completion. The conversion of CMC to CMA was completed January 2001, receiving a charter from Wayne County RESA. •Teacher - Taught 4th - 8th graders. All subjects•Curriculum Director - Developed and implemented upper elementary/middle school curriculum•Administrator - In charge of day-to-day operations including but not limited to: Recruiting and hiring, supervision teachers and teacher assistants, student conduct, family involvement, marketing•MEAP/Testing Coordinator - In charge of ordering, distributing, administering, analyzing and reporting results to parents, teachers, and curriculum committee for future modifications to curriculum.•Conversion to Public School Academy - Took part in all aspects of chartering process, successfully obtaining Charter from Wayne County RESA
