During my time as a trainee art therapist at Barnet Learning Disability Service, I had the chance to work with adults with a range of learning disabilities and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). I worked alongside a Dramatherapist reaching out to families, organizations, and carers. Together we developed an arts psychotherapy group for black men with a learning disability, providing participants with a safe space to explore identity, stigma and culture - all of which are important factors to work with in art therapy.

As part of my training, I worked as a trainee art therapist with SCP in two primary schools in Ealing. I had the responsibility of working one to one in a therapeutic setting with children who needed some extra support. Working in a school setting allowed me to build professional relationships with teachers and parents in order to help clients.
