Starting out with Marketing and Advertising in the art division, I found the written word to be more of my personality. To sell a product, a person, an idea has infiltrated every aspect of my present day life. I can write about a person and, in essence, present them to the reader and "sell" them for all I am saying these people have done for society. Non-hardcore journalism, which I describe as medical articles, non-profits, people that give selflessly to others--I feel needs an angle that brings the reader to really know the person once they've finished the article about this person or organization. Hence back to sales and marketing. And I have transitioned nicely combining my decades of marketing to a journalistic field. SpecialtiesPhotography is my specialty. If I am shooting a photo to go with an article, I try to capture what I have said in that article. The picture may say the "thousand words." When shooting a wedding, event, or a person--I connect with the inner person, which is evident through their body language and mostly, their eyes. Having the ability to relax a subject is key and I have that God-given skill, plus the art background for a great composition. Something sometimes missed.
