I specialize in creating outcomes-based, scaffolded programs – ranging from building program frameworks and models to professional development workshops, youth workshops, lesson plans and activities. An expert facilitator, I am also skilled at delivering learning programs. As an educator and writer, my strength is my capacity to disseminate complex thoughts and ideas to create content that engages and connects with the intended audience. I have written copy for a range of audiences, in a diversity of formats, including exhibits, magazines, blogs, websites and interactive games. My award-winning non-fiction books (The Global Ocean, One Well: The Story of Water on Earth and Tree of Life: The Incredible Biodiversity of Life on Earth) weave science and imagery to create empathy for nature and the environment.
