I am the CEO and managing partner of Awesome Ventures. Awesome Ventures is a global accelerator in Seoul. I am expanding the business to Singapore to fulfill our mission of connecting South Korea to Singapore. I run global batch programs in Seoul every year, which attract startups from worldwide and have fostered 10 companies in 2016, 26 in 2017 and 13 in 2018. Before I founded Awesome Ventures, I was a managing director of DEV, a New York based Venture Capital firm where I invested in Korean startups and US companies as well as being an LP for accelerator funds in US with its Delaware fund.I have 11+ years of global software product experience. I started my career, working at Yahoo! as a product manager for mobile and media services. Then I joined Samsung to manage several products including education, music, on-demand video and radio. While managing Music service, Samsung acquired a company from Bay Area, and together we built and launched the most disruptive music UX ever called Milk Music. In 2019, I am going to achieve 3 things in Singapore. First of all, I am going to introduce Korean startups to Singapore and invite Singaporean startups to Seoul. Second, I am going to raise a $10M fund in order to support my accelerating programs. Last but not least, I am going to hire 1 MD and 1 staff for my Singapore entity. It's progressing slowly but surely, and I'm feeling very optimistic that I'm headed in the right direction. Personally I am a foodie. I am very impressed with Singapore's culinary diversity and intend to learn all about it. Please suggest away your favorite eateries!
