I have been involved with Home Group Housing Association (the eighth largest housing association in the country with a turn over of £300m) on a voluntary basis for the last 6 years. In this time I have acquired extensive knowledge of the social housing industry which includes procurement for products and services, and reviewing KPI's. I also worked with the senior management of Home Group managing public tenders, scoring and the interview process. In 2012 I did a presentation to the board of directors about the importance of customer involvement, now and in the future in a modern day housing association.

Whilst at JS Play Centres Ltd, trading as MinorMania, which had over 130,000 visitors per years, my primary role was Health and Safety which included creating and implementing policies and procedures, risk assessments, near miss accident investigations. My other role included human resources and employee personal development plans. I have always encouraged staff to undertake the NVQ to enhance their careers, which 95% of full time staff took up over 2 years.

Bells Yew Green (Frant Ward)

Elected as an Independent parish councillor in May 2010 for my local community. This role included reviewing local authority budgets, planning applications, developing and reviewing council policies and procedures, as well as statutory duties and public speaking on local issues.
