As part of the Visual Communication team at Exponent I take complex scientific and engineering principles and turn them into compelling and easily understandable graphics and animations. Working with a wide variety of clients from across industries, I use visual demonstration to tell their stories and introduce difficult concepts to diverse audiences.Working in whichever media suits the particular project, I produce everything from simple presentations to fully rendered 3D animations, from start to finish - storyboard to final product. At every phase I stay in close contact with my clients and incorporate their feedback in a fluid and responsive manner. I manage many projects at once, large and small, and delegate to a small team to ensure all deadlines and expectations are met or exceeded.I write project proposals, create and negotiate budgets, incorporate direction often from multiple sources at once, and revise throughout many iterations. I deliver both digital formats, such as video, digital images, interactive applications, or 3D models; and physical formats such as large scale flat prints or 3D printed objects.The animation I create is data-driven and utilizes laser scanning, motion capture, photogrammetry, motion calculations, FEA results, and other methods of bringing real world information into 3D space or visual landscapes.
