- After completing an apprenticeship as an Automotive Mechanic, within 2 years, I commenced a new start-up business, called Deluxe Auto Repairs, providing service and repairs for small vehicles.- Moving on from that enterprise, I held several positions in the Automotive industry for 5 years. - In 1990, I was offered a position in the maintenance workshop at Peter Cochrane Transport, servicing and maintaining a fleet of approximately 50 trucks, vans and utes. - As Peter Cochrane Transport is a family business, an opportunity became available in 1995, to move into a Business Management role. At that time, the business expanded, and my position developed at a fast rate, and I was then appointed General Manager, overseeing all operations of the 24hour/7 day business. I held this position for approximately 7 years.- I then decided upon a career change, and new challenges; this led to the purchase of Ultra Tune Melrose Park. Within 3 years, I had turned Ultra Tune Melrose Park from a underperforming store, to a successful and profitable business. - In 2005, I purchased Ultra Tune Unley, and transformed another underperforming store into what is currently one of the top performers in the Ultra Tune group. - In 2008, I purchased Ultra Tune Port Adelaide.
