I’m a hands-on technology manager with a core drive to contribute to the success of my employer using any and all tools at my disposal. I have a particular ability to learn business processes and communicate technical topics to non-technical parties, and I have a desire to mentor and develop resources to their career path of choice. I’ve developed software in a wide range of programming and scripting languages, including Basic, FORTRAN, COBOL/JCL, Assember, CICS, C, C++, Visual Basic, C#, VB.Net, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, PowerShell, Batch, ASP.Net MVC, Web Services (WCF and REST), VBA, T-SQL, PL-SQL, IBM DB2, XML, and more. I’ve also developed hundreds of reports and queries using T-SQL, PL-SQL, and IBM DB2, SSRS, Excel Services, Spotfier, BI Publisher, Crystal, and other reporting and dashboard tools. I’ve mastered advanced SQL concepts, like stored procedures, functions, agents, temp tables, table variables, synonyms, interaction, temporal queries, spatial queries, and schema updates. I’ve built multiple teams from scratch to design, implement, and support custom applications, reports, and ETLs to optimize project scheduling and cost management. I pride myself on being hands-on, so I’ve personally implemented all aspects of these systems. I’ve managed the project features and requests, deployments, and backlogs using Azure DevOps (Agile Scrum), and I’ve owned multiple functional areas in ServiceNow. I’ve been a trusted resource for the business to rely on, as I develop a big-picture and detailed understanding of their processes, and I can solve problems quickly and with appropriate urgency. I’ve served as developer manager, support manager, as well as a technical and functional lead for major implementations of enterprise systems and applications. I’ve also designed and implemented large-scale integrations between multiple functions within the overall enterprise system, serving as technical architect for application, data, and integration design. Finally, I’m a teacher and mentor at heart. I’ve always enjoyed teaching, having taught at multiple universities, as well as corporations. I have developed multiple training curriculums and delivered the training to hundreds of students, in both an academic and business setting.
