I served as a hands-on manager for a team of analysts and developers to design, build, and maintain/support custom built applications using a wide range of technologies and languages. This included full-stack .NET web applications using Angular/Node.js, to business process automation with Primavera Unifier, Microsoft Access, SharePoint, MS Project Server, and related technologies. Our job was finding the best solution for any problems presented by the business using Agile processes, Azure DevOps, and ServiceNow. We also provided extensive data analysis and reporting services, including creation of reporting layers for custom databases, database performance tuning, data quality assurance, as well as real-time report creation, deployment, and support. We built reports using SSRS, BI Publisher, Excel Services, MS Power BI, and Primavera Unifier (UDR).At Pioneer, I was known for creating flexible data-driven solutions for demanding customers, leveraging low-cost, low-overhead business applications. I developed multiple tools using MS Project Server, MS Office (Access and Excel), SQL Server, PowerShell, .Net, SSRS, and Excel Services. These tools were developed with the specific goal of being extremely flexible and able to be updated same-day and frequently. Ultimately, this toolset was relied on by the engineer community for 6 years, managing the $3B capital drilling program. This system lived on past the roll-out of later systems built to replace it, such as PLEX. During my time at Pioneer, I also served as the technical lead on the PLEX (Planning & Execution) portion of overall Fusion ERP (Oracle EBS) implementation ($25mm component of $150MM 4-year effort), directing a team of internal and external resources to project completion. I developed training and reference materials and delivered training as part of a joint effort to train both technical and functional users on new systems and processes.

I built and managed a small team of developers and analysts to help the Capital Excellence team being team bring industry-standard Project Controls processes and practices to the company to support their $3B capital construction budget.We built schedule and cost management tools and reports using a wide range of technologies, including .Net, MS Project Server, SharePoint, Access and Excel (VBA), PowerShell, SSRS, BI Publisher, T-SQL, and SSIS. The system provided user interfaces for collecting data, workflows for automating business processes, integrations for gathering data from disparate systems, and reports to present the data in a meaningful way. Later, we implemented Primavera Unifier for business process automation and cost management and Oracle OBIEE for reports and dashboards, leveraging MS Project Server for scheduling. We developed numerous integrations to and from Unifier using the Unifier API and .Net Web Services (WCF).During my time here, I also developed a toolset for identifying capitalizable internal labor across the company, resulting in an EBITDA impact of $15-20MM. This required interpreting regulations for capitalizable labor, correlating data from multiple data sources without concrete relationships, and aggregating the results. SQL agents, SSIS packages, and Excel and SSRS reports were used to complete this effort.I developed and delivered training for the above systems to help internal team members support the tools and to help foster adoption of the tools in the customer base. In some cases, training was developed in coordination with the enterprise training department to create a seamless training experience for users from across the company.
